Heya everyone, Sorry here! Today we're going to dig into the One Piece Card Game online tournament scene of OP06 and take a look at what's going on in the competitive meta.
I've picked three tournaments (Pro-play Games (WebCam), Colosseum Cup 73 (SIM), and Kaizoku Cup 6 (SIM)) with enough players to analyze. All tournaments took place between March 17th and March 20th.
The Data

Kaizoku 32 Players | No decks |

Charlotte Katakuri | 7 |
Sakazuki | 6 |

Enel | 4 |
Yamato | 2 |
Vinsmoke Reiju | 1 |
Uta | 1 |
All tournaments share the top 3 most brought decks, Sakazuki, Gecko Moria, and Charlotte Katakuri. All three decks have an overall solid matchup table in the OP06 meta. However, in June 2024, all three of these decks will be affected by the bans. Sakazuki is out of the picture completely, Gecko Moria will lose Great Eruption, and Katakuri won't have Reject in its arsenal.
Although players haven't been very confident in Enel's viability in the meta, it still saw representation in all three tournaments. Enel was the top 4 most-brought deck in PPG and the top 5 most-brought deck in the other two tournaments.
There has been considerable hype surrounding the Blue/Purple Reiju deck, and it appears that players are increasingly adopting it. There are a total of 19 Reiju decks in a 256-player tournament and 4 decks in a 64-player tournament. Only one player brought it to the top 32 Kaizoku tournament.
Top 16:
PPG Top 16 | No. decks |
Sakazuki | 5 |
Gecko Moria | 4 |
Charlotte Katakuri | 3 |
Vinsmoke Reiju | 2 |
Yamato | 1 |
Roronoa Zoro | 1 |
Colosseum Top 16 | No. decks |
Sakazuki | 5 |
Charlotte Katakuri | 4 |
Trafalgar Law | 3 |
Gecko Moria | 2 |
Enel | 1 |
Yamato | 1 |
Kaizoku Cup Top 8 | No decks |
Charlotte Katakuri | 2 |
Gecko Moria | 2 |
Sakazuki | 1 |
Vinsmoke Reiju | 1 |
Enel | 1 |
Yamato | 1 |
Since the Kaizoku tournament only had 32 players, I'll showcase the top 8 instead of the top 16, for a better representation of the best-performing decks in that tournament.
Here are the decks that saw success this week! Unsurprisingly, Sakazuki, Charlotte Katakuri, and Gecko Moria are at the top of the top 16 lists. These decks have proven to be solid performers in the meta, and with the number of players bringing those decks, it is bound to see a bunch of them make it into the top 16.
However, if we take a look at the Colosseum tournament, Trafalgar Law managed to steal 3rd place from Gecko Moria, with 3 decks out of 6 making it to the top 16.
None of the 25 Enel decks that appeared in the PPG tournament managed to make it into the top 16. This proves more that Katakuri is dominating the OP06 tournament scene as the best Yellow deck to play. Colosseum and Kaizoku had only one Enel player each make it to the top 16.
The aggressive Roronoa Zoro fought through all the Sakazuki and Katakuri decks to make it into the top 16, but was sadly eliminated there.
Sakazuki ends up getting the edge over Katakuri for this week, solidifying its presence as the best deck in OP06 meta.
Top 4 Decks
Tournament | First Place | Second Place | Third Place | Fourth Place |
PPG | Sakazuki | Sakazuki | Charlotte Katakuri | Gecko Moria |
Colosseum | Charlotte Katakuri | Charlotte Katakuri | Sakazuki | Sakazuki |
Kaizoku | Gecko Moria | Gecko Moria | Charlotte Katakuri | Charlotte Katakuri |
Interestingly, the top three decks secured all four top spots in each tournament. This comes down to the decks' consistency, regardless of the matchups they go up against. Sakazuki got 4 spots, with two of them being in first and second place. As for Katakuri, the yellow deck had an edge over Sakazuki this week, managing 5 spots, and two of them are in first and second place.
Gecko Moria came in third, with 3 spots, two in the smallest tournament.
First Place Sakazuki PPG
The Sakazuki deck is all about board control, using cards like Rob Lucci, Hound Blaze, and Ama no Murakumo Sword. This deck gets its late-game value from Gecko Moria, developing on the board while also setting up a removal play with Rob Lucci.
Arguably the best deck in the OP06 meta, and has seen the most play in the tournament scene.
First Place Charlotte Katakuri Colosseum
The Yellow Katakuri deck focuses on board development and taking advantage of Trigger effects to catch opponents off guard. It's able to threaten heavy attacks with Leader Katakuri, relying on late-game cards like Charlotte Linlin to Trash the opponent's Life Cards.
First Place Gecko Moria Kaizoku
Last but not least, Gecko Moria has been closely keeping up with Sakazuki and Katakuri decks. It somewhat adopts a similar game plan of board control to that of Sakazuki. However, with no access to cards like Hound Blaze, it relies more on Leader Gecko Moria's ability to develop a powerful board and start threatening multiple attacks.
Underdog Inclusions
Yamato PPG 6th Place
Vinsmoke Reiju PPG 10th Place
Red/Purple Law Colosseum 6th Place
Off-Meta Decks
Belo Betty, Crocodile, and Queen were brought to the PPG tournament.
Colosseum
Closing Words
I've picked the three tournaments I found with enough competitors for analysis. All three tournaments gave us similar information, with a couple of decks like Red Zoro and Red/Purple Law managing to sneak into the top 16 brackets.
Here are all the decklists if you want to check them out: PPG, Colosseum, and Kaizoku. This is it from me, if you wish to keep up with my content, consider following me on Twitter.
